Keira Knightley
Knightley was born in London, she was the child of Will Knightley and Sharman Mcdonald. Knightley was able to get her first agent when she was six years old and began working in television and commercials. There was a brief role in the role of Sabe in the space-opera Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999). Following her international success in the fantasy series Pirates of the Caribbean in 2003 as Elizabeth Swann (a swashbuckling footballer) and was able to appear in the sports drama Bend It Like Beckham in which she portrayed the teen. She starred in the romance comedy Love Actually and was called an exciting teenager. As the character she played, Elizabeth Bennet in the period romance Pride & Prejudice (2005), Knightley was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. In addition to Atonement, she also starred in the role of Georgiana Cavendish and the main character on The Duchess and Anna Karenina's character in the title socialite. Her work also included modern dramatics. Begin Again, (2013) featured her as an aspirant singer, and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, (2014) saw her as a medical school student. Knightley returned to historical films as Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game (2014) that earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress she also acted as the eponymous writer in Colette (2018).
