Nathalie is an English actress born at Southend-on-Sea (Essex), England. Her father has Saint Lucian-English heritage, as does her mother was Dominican. Nathalie says that her mother was the first person to inspire her passion for pursuing a career acting. The role she played was Young Nala in her role in the West End Production of The Lion King when she was just 10 years old. Sasha Valentine was her first Television role. Emmanuel starred in the series through 2010, as her stories featured the prostitution industry as well as heroin addiction. Her debut came as film actor in the action thriller Twenty8 later that year. Following that she was cast in the role of Missandei, Daenerys Targaryen's translator in HBO's fantasy-themed drama Game of Thrones (2011). In Game of Thrones, Emmanuel's character Thrones was made a regular role during the year 2015. In the same year, she played computer hacker Ramsey in the action movie Furious 7 (2015) and Harriet in the sequel to sci-fi Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015). FHM magazine placed Emmanuel 99th in their ranking of the 100 Sexiest Woman in 2013. Then, in April of this year she was featured in InStyle magazine and GQ.
